One of the changes I implemented in my classroom this year that I'm happiest with is our Poem of the Week. The kids love it, and it can serve almost any purpose I need it to. This week I'll be trying to kick our poetry up to the next level in honor of National Poetry Month. I'll be sharing some of the poems we're reading, a lot of them are some of my all-time favorites of all time:
April Rain Song |
| | Let the rain kiss you Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops Let the rain sing you a lullaby The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk The rain makes running pools in the gutter The rain plays a little sleep song on our roof at night And I love the rain. Langston Hughes | |
